Assets connected to the electricity network that can modify their generation or consumption in response to distribution system operator (DSO) signals can provide flexibility services.
Company or organisation eligibility requirements
To provide flexibility services on ElectronConnect, your organisation must:
Have the rights to engage in flexible services on behalf of any participating assets
Have suitable assets registered on ElectronConect, that meet the market criteria (i.e. response times, control type, etc)
Depending on the qualification requirements and the competition type, your assets do not need to be operational at the time of bidding. However, they must be operational by the time you are required to deliver flexibility services.
Have a signed contract ahead of service delivery
The nature and process may vary between DSOs.
