In some flexibility markets, such as with the Variable Availability + Operational Utilisation (VAOU) product, operators can adjust capacity after they have accepted the offers from FSPs. The capacity refinement table shows the outcome of those refinements.
How to see all your capacity refinement outcomes
1. Navigate to the "Capacity Refinement" tab on the "Asset Operations" page to view all capacity refinement outcomes in the table.
2. Use the date filter to view capacity refinements from different time periods. By default, ElectronConnect displays upcoming capacity refinements in the next two weeks.
Important: You can select the number of items to display per page and navigate between pages using the controls in the bottom right corner.
Capacity refinement notifications
When a market operator refines capacity, the platform sends an email notification to the relevant FSPs.
Each email notification corresponds to a batch of capacity refinements by the market operator
The email contains a link that directs FSPs to the Notifications page within the platform.
The Notifications page displays all refinements the market operator made for that specific batch.
Understanding the capacity refinement table
The table provides FSPs with key information for operational planning:
Market Name: The market in which capacity was refined.
Asset Name: The asset for which capacity was refined.
Flexibility Volume (MW): The capacity confirmed for the service window.
Note: The refined capacity may be less than the accepted offer capacity and may differ by day.
Start Date & Time / End Date & Time: The service window for which capacity was refined.
Note: The service window may be shorter than the accepted offer's service window and may differ by day.
Status: "Confirmed" status signifies that the refinement outcome is final and confirmed.
If no refinements appear in the table, you have no capacity refinements within the selected date range.
