The relationship between Assets, Offers, Requirements & Markets

Utilise the data model to understand how assets, offers, requirements and markets relate to each other

Updated today

Data Model: Assets to Offers

Note: The model follows the crows foot relationship methodology

Assets

Discrete and Group assets participate in markets by placing offers for requirements. Discrete assets are large individual assets, while Group assets are an aggregation of smaller individual assets known as Group Members. Group Members cannot participate on their own.

Offers

Discrete and Group assets can submit offers for requirements. An offer will include MW volume to commit and the price/s to be paid for the service.

Markets

Markets are enduring, they represent the type and location of flex being procured. There are two types of markets:

  • Single-Requirement Markets

  • Multi-Requirement Markets

Note: Assets have to be in the same Network Location as a market to participate.

Requirements

Requirements are dynamic, they represents when and how much flex is being procured, including when bidding occurs.

Offers are placed against individual requirements.
